How it all started
It all began when we passed through the beautiful San Cristobal Valley with a friend from Lama Foundation. One of us uttered the fateful words: “We would love to live in a place like this.”
A couple of years later we started a family and rented a small cabin. We opened a honey business, sold Christmas trees. We fell in love with the mountainous land, the creek, ponds, the starry, silent nights, the small village and its inhabitants, as well as the countless discoveries of ancient Native American, old Spanish and Mexican presence, and then the contemporary, dating from the turn of the century.
We soon bought the land from the original homesteader, Elmira Mackie. We envisioned that this magic land would be a sanctuary best shared with others. The land offers quietude, a space to regenerate, and an opportunity to get in touch with one’s inner, creative spirit.
We hope to see you here!
